Bill Johnson teaches on prayer and how to pray effectively. Praying better prayers is not about praying more, it’s about praying with intention. Prayer is not a religious duty we perform to check off of a to-do list; it is the very tool God has given us to commune with Him, learn His heart, and see His will done on earth as it is in heaven. Many Christians get accustomed to unanswered prayer, believing it must be God’s will if their prayer isn’t answered, but God’s plan from the beginning has been to co-labor with us to bring restoration and hope. Simeon and Anna were intercessors who had prayed for the coming Messiah. Because of their lifestyle of prayer and tenderness to God’s heart, they were able to recognize the fulfillment of His promise in a baby; Jesus. A lifestyle of prayer positions us as co-laborers of God and tunes our heart to recognize God’s voice, what He is saying, and how He is moving.
