The Positive Vibes Tour provided the platform for raising awareness of children with cancer; James Dobson was riding a recumbent trike across country from Dover, NH to San Diego, CA to highlight that awareness. Tragically however, James was struck by a texting motorist (2018.11.13) who failed to yield a right of way while exceeding the posted speed limit of 65mph. FWIW: James was essentially riding on the shoulder of the road at the time of impact in Sumrall, MS.
I have been told that the canopy and the Hi-Viz flag array provided ample visibility to approaching motorists. From the time James left Raleigh, NC to the time he arrived in Atlanta, GA fourteen improvements to the canopy were noted, advancing the product about 2-years worth of development.
