Sewing school parts 1 to 4: Preparations

The first four parts of the sewing school is about the tools that are useful, how the fabric is prepared so the edges are straight, how to wax the thread and how to thread the needle.

When I put this collection of the first four parts together I mixed up part two and part four, so in this video it starts with the first part about sewing tools, continues with part four about how to thread a needle. Then part three and how to wax the thread and in the end part two, how to find the straight edges of your fabric to get a better result of your sewing.

The video is in real time so it is a slow tempo so it is easy to follow

My name is Johanna and I live in Sweden. I want to share my way to have a hobby that involves making historic clothing and accessories but there might be some other things as well. I have mostly been doing 18th and 19th century with a few visits in other eras as well. I am part of Branicula, a dance group in Sweden that dances mostly 18th century dances like Playford and the menuett but we have also learned some Renaissance dances.
