This animation shows how vacuum degassing of digested sludge with ELOVAC® works. By integrating this technology at sewage treatment plants, climate-damaging methane is not emitted into the environment after the digester. Sewage treatment plants can therefore improve their CO2 footprint and actively contribute to climate protection. With the additional option of phosphate precipitation in the form of MAP (struvite), wastewater treatment plant operators can also benefit from improved dewatering of sewage sludge and less struvite scaling.
