My first time using Brusho was on my recent trip to St. Ives, Cornwall where I attended a workshop at the St. Ives School of Painting. The course focussed on capturing St. Ives in line and wash. Instead of using regular watercolour our instructor Hilary Gibson used ready prepared Brusho by Colourcraft crystals. The crystals were prepared with water and Hilary just started us off with one colour and then the primary colours and then mixing from those with the addition of burnt sienna and yellow ochre. Really you don't need many colours although upon coming home I did order some of those colours and more. There is something about them that is so different and I think justified the purchase. However, they are not lightfast.
