Make Music Day, also known as Fête de la Musique, is an annual global celebration of music that takes place on June 21st, the summer solstice. It's a day for everyone to participate in music, with free, public performances held in streets, parks, and other venues. Make Music Day Salem is a call to participation: Music by the People, For the People. It is an invitation to all musicians, amateur as well as professional, to sign up to play at one of the available venues and, after practicing up for the big event, to perform on June 21.
