Not everything goes quite to plan, there's a bit of a theme here!
I intended on cleaning out the distributor, cleaning up the points, showing you how to set the ignition timing and then give the carb a tune with the CO meter to get it all within MOT spec.
However, the cam on the distributor is heavily worn so I'd be flogging a dead horse. No amount of setup is going to get this one right. So, I've changed course. We will whip the distributor off, box it up and send it to Salv for a rebuild and to convert it to electronic ignition. And I'll give you a how to on that in the next episode.
Instead we took the R16 out for a drive, chatted about plans for it and enjoyed it for one last time before it has to sit up for a week whilst Salv works his magic. He really is "the guy."
