This time we went to one of our neighbor's rice mill and learned how rice is carefully polished and strictly categorized in ranks. Those highly quality controlled rice are supplied to our home and it is available throughout the year. We met his son as well and both of their hands were so thick and big that they deserve being called Shokunin, professional workers.
Normally it takes around 88 days for the entire process from planting to harvesting rice, it might be changeable depending on weather condition. However, the rice quality is uncertain until they actually harvest it so even though they harvest them all, every rice won't be sold as good quality. Also maintaining all the tractors cost so expensive which is almost equivalent to buying a fine car..! Before it costed even much more and the farmer said with that much, he could buy a house!
