A video comparison of a Seymour Duncan Sentient 7 and Custom 7 vs a Dimarzio PAF Pro 7 and Blaze 7, in a swamp ash Suhr Modern 7 with a maple top. Clean and dirty, through a Mesa Mark 5 in Fat mode with the gain around noon for the clean and Mark IV mode with the gain around 2 o'clock for the distorted sound. the guitars were tracked with a Shure SM57 and a Sennheiser MD421, both slightly off axis but in phase, with the MD421 about 2db behind the Shure, through a BAE1073MP. There's a bit of light compression on the guitars, some stereo delay, and some volume maximization on the master bus, but no other effects were used on the guitar.
