We’re a family from Malta (Europe) preparing to leave our home country and begin a new adventure abroad. Before making this huge leap into the unknown, we (Kristin and Robert) managed to squeeze in a much-needed getaway to Vietnam — a trip filled with nostalgia, emotion, and a story of its own.
Back in 2011, we travelled to Bali, Indonesia, only one year into our relationship. Ever since then, we’ve been dreaming of returning to Asia. The food, the culture, the scents, the warmth of the people — all those feelings came rushing back during these unforgettable 11 days in Vietnam. Just the two of us, reconnecting and reliving the magic of our early travel days.
But why Vietnam? Why now, right before moving abroad? This unexpected opportunity has a whole backstory, and we had so much to share that we had to split this adventure into two episodes.
After this beautiful holiday came one of the busiest months of our lives as we prepared to evacuate our house and officially begin our journey away from all that we possessed.
