How to Cast Silicone Parts in 3D Printed Moulds

In this video, I demonstrate how to injection mould small custom silicone parts in a 2-piece 3D printed mould.
The mould halves were printed using PLA filament on an Ultimaker 2+ 3D printer.
Silicone is often used for making moulds around 3D printed patterns to cast duplicates of the printed part.
For this DIY project, I have reversed that process to injection mould soft rubber parts in reusable two-piece plastic moulds.
Because the parts are intended for constant contact with skin, I chose to use only non-toxic food-grade silicone and fine charcoal powder in these castings.
