In one of the most dramatic finishes in Georgia high school football history, Cameron Clark nailed a 38-yard field goal on an untimed down to lift North Gwinnett to a 19-17 win over Colquitt County in the GHSA 7A State Final. It marked the Bulldogs’ first-ever state title after reeling off 14 straight wins following a season-opening loss.
Colquitt had surged ahead with just 48 seconds left, but a furious drive—and four costly penalties—set up Clark’s chance at redemption after a missed PAT earlier in the game. The result? Pure championship magic.
