ABERAERON TO NEWQUAY - Walking The Wales Coast Path

Hello everyone and welcome to this video of the walk from Aberaeron to Newquay on the Wales Coast Path filmed in July 2025!

Starting out from the previous day making the way to the Sea Front but due to the redevelopment work on the Sea Front the Wales Coast Path was re-routed onto Wellington Street then onto Wellington Gardens before the path joins up with the Wales Coast Path!

From here towards Gilfach-yr-Halen Holiday Village I took my time taking in all the scenery which was fantastic with Newquay getting ever closer!

After Gilfach-yr-Halen Holiday Village will be Afon Drywi after heavy rain a fine waterfall will spill onto the beach below at Oernant! Continuing on and the Wales Coast Path will go uphill reaching 330ft in the wooded area before Cei Bach before descending towards the Cei Bach Country Club Caravan Park!

From here following the Wales Coast Path signs we cross the Afon Llethi before the route splits one path follows the beach route at Newquay Bay the other will be the inland route when the tide is in always check the tide times before you set off!

With the tide out it was an easy choice to follow the beach route at Newquay Bay what a wonderful beach with it's Golden Sands why go abroad with so many brilliant beaches in Wales!

You could follow the beach all the way into Newquay but I followed the Wales Coast Path route up the Metal Stairway this will get you onto Brongwyn Lane!

In Newquay you can do the Dylan Thomas Trail if you have enough time!

Onto the Wales Coast Path in Newquay and follow the path down Pilot Lane on towards the sea front until I reach the Mermaid Sculpture this mark's the halfway point on the Wales Coast Path it took over 2 years from the start in Chester in April 2023! It has given me a lot of good memories! Hopefully Many more to come!
