Measuring 3D curved glass with FocalSpec sensors

3D topography imaging with FocalSpec Line Confocal Imaging (LCI) sensors fits particularly well for the surface inspection and roughness measurement of challenging materials such as shiny, glossy or transparent surfaces. Measuring 3D curved glass with the traditional imaging technologies can be very challenging but, in addition to flat surfaces, LCI technology is suitable for illustrating the topography of curved glass for up to 20 degrees of surface angle. In case of higher angles, the sensor or the sample should be tilted or illustrated with another FocalSpec sensor.
