Nah, this isn't an April Fools' joke. I've finally gotten around to making a Kraken of the Sea rendition! :D
This song plays when you face the Kraken boss in the SNES RPG Earthbound. It's a very unusual tune.
That electronic reverb effect is really tough to nail on Mario Paint! I spent at least two hours trying to get that bass part to sound halfway decent. I tweaked the dynamics on this video quite a bit; hopefully it payed off. I must say, it feels good to take on a behemoth of a song like Kraken of the Sea. :D
Oh yeah, by the way, this video uses adolfobaez's Electronica soundfont, if you couldn't tell.
Be sure to check out JillSandwich93's version, which uses the original soundfont!
