My fixation switched from skong to Necesse cause 1.0 full release came out. I kinda just surrounded my base in 2 layers of lava (now I have way too many buckets) and a wall so that most raiders will go through the killbox instead. (the access shafts have more doors to break) I'm not yet sure how it will hold up agaisnt end-game raiders though, since I spent too much time on the base to do progression and am in the deep desert caving phase, but it should still be much less annoying. I also have two guards housed in the vicinity of every killbox, (though some are still unfinished) so I have backup. I also found out today that my summons will go through the access shaft and trigger the attack early, (as shown in the video) so that's nice. The wiring was pretty easy (*it's really quite simple!*) once i learned the basics. I'll be happy to provide a tutorial for this kind of stuff, but there are probably videos on that already. Each section seperated by the gates has a senser sensing hostiles that ONLY feeds into a timer gate that makes all the traps activate every second or so (the traps have a one second/20 tick cooldown). You could technically have the entire trap activate when any enemy in within it since the traps dont use up any limited resources, but that's too boring for me lol. Take care not to wire the traps up with the gates to make them open for the enemy, and you could also have a pressure plate after each one that autimatically closes the last gate. Also note that a trap continuously powered by any wire will not fire multiple times, so the wires connecting sensors to timers should be avoided when placing traps. The same thing applies to glyphs from the dungeon. The floor tile is mud (from the swamp) as a minor optimization because of its movement speed reduction.
