Carpe Diem

How it all begin? Once upon a time, they used to dream of becoming musicians. They worked hard and in 1992 they founded a band that till now is known in Poland as as Szymon Wydra & Carpe Diem. Having recorded six studio albums in Polish, they emerged as one of the most vogue and recognizable bands in their homeland. Over a year ago they decided to cross the borders and record new sounds in English, originating a project called Carpe Diem. They struggled in spite of storms and rains and thanks to their persistence and kindness of the people they came across on their music route, among them priest Waldemar Maciąg (Father V), author of their lyrics in English and initiator of the collaboration with Tracey Coryell, they made it!
And what now? They keep on dreaming. Dreaming of new global challenges, new open roads, new sounds, new perspectives. New language to convey their message over the borders.
What next? They aim even higher. Their next single called „Intense” is an across-the-ocean collaboration with an American vocalist and songwriter, Tracey Coryell, the wife of a legendary and one of the world's best jazz guitarists Larry Coryell, regrettably deceased two years ago. Tracey, a remarkable rock voice and a sensitive soul, has added to their brand-new single an unmatchable American sound & style that fits perfectly within their notion of music.
