As always, this is late. This is far later than usual bc I lost inspiration for it over Christmas, and I had over 170 essays that needed grading over Christmas and New Years, and that had to take priority. I debated whether or not to bother finishing it, but the lovely people who answered my poll on twitter voted unanimously in favour of seeing it, even a month too late. So here it is. Trying to finish this felt like pulling teeth, I didn't feel inspired and Sony Vegas crashed if I so much as looked at it funny.

2020 was awful. It was so hard on a lot of us, and there wasn't much worth celebrating. I did want to focus on a few points in this - many of us (far far too many of us) have been suffering through loneliness, depression, grief, fear, despair, among many other things this past year. We can't ignore that, we can't brush that aside. What we can do is support each other, reach out to each other, and fight with and for each other. I think if 2020 has taught us anything, it's how powerful we are together, and how important our families and friends are to us. That's what we've been fighting for.

If there's anything good to say about 2020, I must say the quality of film and television has been superb. I think my favourites might be shining through here a little bit.
