VLOGMAS DAY 11: THICK & CREAMY MASHED POTATOES

Ingredients;
5 - 8 Medium Gold Potatoes
1 Stick of Unsalted Butter (Half for mixing in potatoes, half for top)
1/2 Pint of Half and Half (Use more if you like a more loose mashed potato)
1 Tsp Dried or Fresh Chives
1 Tsp of Onion Powder
1 Tsp of Black or White Pepper
Directions
1. Peel, cut and wash potatoes.
2. Add potatoes to a pot, cover with water and add salt to taste. This will make your potatoes flavorful.
3. Let cook until potatoes are completely softened and breaks apart.
4. Drain potatoes while still hot.
5. While still hot, add butter, half and half, chives and seasonings. You could also heat butter and half and half if you desire but is not necessary.
6. With an electric mixer, mix all ingredients together until you have a smooth consistency.
7. Check for seasoning and adjust if need be.
8. Add remaining butter to top, along with a few sprinkles of chives for garnish.
9. Serve while still hot or warm as a side.
10. Enjoy!
