Over the last 50 years wages for regular people have increased by around 18% after inflation.
In the same time, compensation for the top 0.1% of wage earners has increased by a massive 341% leading to widening inequality over time as they can save and invest more of a bigger income…
However there is one group that puts even them to shame, the total compensation of top CEOs has increased by one THOUSAND four hundred and sixty percent.
Now if you have been paying any attention to the news (or if you could read the title of this video) that might not be a huge surprise to you anymore… but what a lot of people forget is that these people are still just employees…
Most of the world's top CEOs did not found the companies they work for, and most of them don’t even have huge ownership stakes in these businesses.
So WTF do these people actually do? Why are business owners paying them better than they are paying themselves? And why are so many of them “retiring” all of a sudden?
