“The Hmong American Journey” is a short documentary film that traces the powerful story of a people forced to flee war, rebuild from nothing, and rise to shape the future of America. Shown at the Hmong American 50 Years of Progress Gala this past weekend, the film weaves together historic images, personal stories, and reflections from community leaders to honor the sacrifices of our elders and the courage of a new generation.
From the mountains of Laos and the Secret War, to refugee camps, to resettlement in Minnesota and across the United States, this documentary highlights the resilience, pain, hope, and determination that define the Hmong experience.
