At Dan Tracy Designs each unique Ring Distaff is handmade in our workshop.
A Ring Distaff is a tool held on a finger keeps un-spun fiber above a drop spindle while spinning. The fiber is able to stay untangled while drafting.
These are made in the following woods: maple, butternut, oak, black walnut, cherry. The wood is locally sourced whenever possible.
The exact sizes vary but are approximately 9”-10.75” long.
Each item is handmade from natural materials and therefore can have some differences in shape, size and color. This should be expected with a one-of-a-kind piece. The color of a piece can also look different depending on the screen it is viewed on. Thank you for understanding and your support.
