How To: Build a Fibreglass Hard Top for a Hurricane Damaged Catamaran Pt1 (S2 E15)

In this weeks episode of Barefoot Sail and Dive we show we how to build a mold for a fibreglass hard top!
It is a very long process but we are getting there. We went to the hardware store here in Luperon and found all our supplies for the job. Davy has been using a waterproof mdf material for the ribs and the base of the mold. Lots of measuring to get the mold 100% perfect.
It has taken about 6 days so far building the mold! Lots of sanding and perfecting!
We could not find the mold release we wanted so stay tuned until the end of the episode we experiment with three different options. We will let you know next week which one worked the best!
