Most of Carson Robison's American recordings were made up of himself accompanied by a straight band, perhaps at best some lukewarm novelty trumpet, but the Pioneers on "Stack O' Lee Blues" are instead an excellent British group, likely including Nat Gonella on trumpet (though the discographies suggest Max Goldberg) and possibly Joe Crossman on clarinet.
