Cleveland weather: Mainly dry and chilly on Thursday with some lake effect snow Near 20

Cleveland weather forecast for Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

Burst of moderate to heavy snow are possible for the PM rush hour as well as thru the evening hours. This will mean some slowdowns to the evening commute and any evening NYE plans. Snow totals area-wide Wednesday afternoon will again range from 1 to 3 inches with a few additional inches possible in the snow belt east of Cleveland. Some snow squalls in this snow could cause low visibility and quick accumulations.

The widespread snow should exit by about 11pm. So, dry weather is likely for most of us by the time the ball drops, but temperatures stay frigid.

Well-below-average for the rest of the week with below freezing high temperatures. Generally breezy winds will also persist. We do look drier overall Thursday through the weekend. Some lake effect snow could be possible later Thursday into Friday. Possibly trending a bit milder next week!
