Chapter 3 and 4 are outstanding. My love for this game is now even stronger, and I can't wait to see what Chapter 5 has in store.

Of course, along with the new chapters come two entire soundtracks worth of new music, all of which is outstanding. There are so many new tracks I want to cover, but of all of the new tracks The Second/Third Sanctuary stood out to me immediately. So, I wanted to try covering at least one of them.

This cover took me around three days of work to make, so it's admittedly not quite as polished as some of my other covers in some areas, but I really enjoyed making this for the most part and I'm at a point where trying to work on it for much longer will likely result in me trying to be a perfectionist and delay the completion of this cover for an unknowable amount of time, which I'd rather avoid at the moment.

So, with that said, my hope here really was just to try covering The Second sanctuary, which in the middle of doing I decided I also wanted to cover the ending section from The Third Sanctuary, and... that's more or less what I did. There are a few original sections, but these are both already such complex and beautiful tracks that I didn't want to try to incorporate too many new elements that would potentially clash with the original. So I mostly focused on trying to convey the energy of the original tracks.

The biggest difficulty I had in making this was finding the right instruments - the original tracks have a certain blend to them, with all of the instruments feeling like they fit in well together, and I struggled to achieve a similar feeling with this cover. I think I managed to achieve a similar kind of feeling in places, though some sections don't sound as natural as I had hoped.
Of course, this is my first real attempt covering this song, so considering that I don't think it turned out too badly.

As for the video, I threw it together pretty quickly so there isn't too much to say. It depicts the third sanctuary both because this room is very pretty and came to mind while working on the cover, and because it's the one that's most easily accessible for me to record.
It also allowed me to write the joke above this description.
...Maybe I should have used the second sanctuary after all.


As I keep mentioning I have several other tracks I'd like to cover too, so hopefully I'll be able to release some of those soon as well. I feel very inspired to make more Deltarune related music again and I hope that can result in me making something you like.
