Luke 10:29
OUR CHURCH AT WORSHIP - July 13, 2025
(0:00) PRELUDE - “Sonata in C Minor” Op. 13, mvt. 2 – Beethoven
Althea Waites
(0:33) CALL TO WORSHIP - adapted from Psalm 82
Leader: God is seated in the court of heaven;
People: In the midst of the gods the Lord holds judgement.
Leader: Give justice to the weak and orphan, O God; lift up the lowly and destitute.
People: Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
Leader: How long will the wicked prosper? Will injustice last for ever?
People: Arise, O Lord, and judge the earth, for all the nations belong to you.
(1:44) HYMN “God of Grace and God of Glory”
God of grace and God of glory, on thy people pour thy power;
Crown thine ancient church’s story; bring her bud to glorious flower.
Grant us wisdom, grant us courage, for the facing of this hour,
For the facing of this hour.
Lo! the hosts of evil round us scorn thy Christ, assail his ways!
Fears and doubts too long have bound us; free our hearts to work and praise.
Grant us wisdom, grant us courage, for the living of these days,
For the living of these days.
Save us from weak resignation to the evils we deplore;
Let the search for thy salvation be our glory evermore.
Grant us wisdom, grant us courage, serving thee whom we adore,
Serving thee whom we adore.
(4:31) PRAYER OF CONFESSION AND RENEWAL
Unison: Loving God, you invite us to join with you in acts of compassion and service. You
are present with us every day in the lives of our neighbors. As we meet some of them we
discover our gifts for help and healing. From others we receive your grace and care. Forgive
us when we fail to see the connections between us, when we seek to separate ourselves from each
other. Open our eyes to the mystery and wonder of your love for all your children. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

(1:00:15) HYMN - “Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior”
Pass me not, O gentle Savior, hear my humble cry;
While on others thou art calling, do not pass me by.
(Refrain) Savior, Savior, hear my humble cry;
While on others thou art calling, do not pass me by.
Let me at thy throne of mercy find a sweet relief,
Kneeling there in deep contrition; help my unbelief.
(Refrain)
Trusting only in thy merit, would I seek thy face;
Heal my wounded, broken spirit, save me by thy grace.
(Refrain)
(1:02:50) BENEDICTION
