Do you really need to follow a build guide to start Torchlight Infinite? Rambling for newer players

How do you get information as a new player in Torchlight Infinite? Especially as an English speaker? Are there any good resources for a beginner trying to learn the systems? Where are the build websites?

This game is from a Chinese developer and has a strong CN community. This makes finding useful build information a bit tricky for the EN crew. Hopefully this video answers SOME of those questions and gives you peace of mind! This game is very new player friendly. Don't feel too much pressure to follow the meta, this game is pretty chill and forgiving if you want to play at your own pace. And the campaign is very easy, so its not too much stress to reroll.

Pro Builds and Hero Ranking are both very useful tools in the in-game client. General tips and guidance for new players, or at least a starting point. But if you want to be really sweaty and tryhard, youre gonna have to do some digging and research.

Discord is your friend of course. The community is a resource and there are sure to be noob friendly guilds leading up to league launch. You can also try asking questions in the in-game chat, but thats hit or miss lol. Feel free to put any questions in the YT chat too.

By the way, I meant to say DISCORD there at the end - Reddit is useless for TLI. Join the Discord if you want to do a deep dive and learn a lot. Also Discord will likely have much more information for "leaguestart", because many builds from previous seasons are outdated.

For the new season content specifically, I personally am just the most excited about continued QOL. The collision changes are going to be so huge, honestly my favorite change I saw in the game trailer.
