Hai Friends, Today's recipe is mouth melting sweet Madakku/ Madakkusan. This sweet is popularly known in english as Khaja Sweet or Pastry Sweet.It is pleasant Yellow in colour. It is a traditional Indian especially in Kerala and Tamil Nadu and Bengladeshi dessert made of flaky numerous layers of dough and deep fried and dipped in sugar syrup. In Kerala it is treated as very traditional snacks and prepared on the occasions of Onam and Valakkappu function. Its Yellow colour is very amazing like the Sunshine. The main ingredient is All purpose flour / Maida Sugar and oil. The result is a sweet and highly layered yellow pastry with a crispy texture that become soft as the syrup is absorbed. Ingredients
All purpose flour - 1 1/2 Cups ( മൈദ)
Sugar - 1& 1/2 tsp ( പഞ്ചസാര)
Water - 3/4 Cup ( വെള്ളം)
salt - 1/2 tsp ( ഉപ്പ്,)
Yellow colour / Turmeric - 1 pinch ( മഞ്ഞ)
For Sugar Syrup
Sugar - 1 Cup ( പഞ്ചസാര)
Water - 1/2 Cup (വെള്ളം)
Oil - For Frying. ( എണ്ണ)
