Stamp Duty For Non Resident UK purchasers (NEW 2% stamp duty surcharge 2021). Today I discuss the new stamp duty rules for non-resident UK purchasers which comes in on 1st April 2021. I answer some of the common questions around this, including what is a non resident purchaser, how do we prove residency, what if I want to move to live in the UK and more.
This is new legislation coming in and important to know if either you yourself or anyone you know is thinking of purchasing residential property in England or Northern Ireland after 1st April.
