One Stick Fire Challenge In Rainy Weather Conditions: Will It Work?

Here's my try on the One Stick Fire Challenge: I am facing rather wet and cold weather conditions and am trying to get a fire started from a single log. The rules: Only use the wood itself - fat wood, birch bark, ferro rod scrapings and all other types of combustive agents/aids are forbidden. Will it work?

This challenge is meant to train outdoor skills needed in different survival and bushcraft scenarios. Please feel free to try this yourself and let me know if you succeeded. Good luck starting your fire and have a lot fun with your fire building practice!
