Featuring unique depth, breadth and diversity of experience, Blair’s vibrant arts program inspires students to participate at every level and prepares them to become true artists. Our wide-ranging curriculum allows kids to explore many different mediums or master just one, and mixes the traditional with the contemporary. In the fine arts, that means offering classes in drawing, painting, ceramics and film photography, as well as video, architecture, design and digital photography. Likewise, Blair’s theatre, vocal and instrumental music groups perform broad repertoires that challenge students technically and conceptually.

At Blair, art is not just a creative outlet, but also an ingrained part of the curriculum and the academic day. Our student-artists—whether experienced practitioners who wish to pursue careers in the arts or curious individuals who just want to try something new—have access to top-notch, on-campus performance and creative spaces; trips to performances and world-renowned museums in New York City and Philadelphia; exposure to visiting artists through the endowed Bartow Series and Romano Gallery exhibits; individual instruction from conservatory-trained musicians and accomplished artists; and frequent opportunities to exhibit and perform on and off campus.
