Godfrey opened up to VladTV about Eddie Murphy dropping the highly acclaimed Dolemite Is My Name on Netflix, which both Godfrey and DJ Vlad agreed was the best platform for the film considering Rudy Ray Moore was an underground figure. Godfrey went on to commend Murphy for always including and helping other comedians throughout his career, and he believes other top comedians could learn something from Murphy's generosity.
During the conversation, Godfrey also spoke about the Oscars snubbing Black actors like Denzel Washington, and he pointed out that the Oscar statue is an Egyptian symbol. Godfrey also pointed out that legendary actor Clark Gable is half black, and he believes that the famous Gone With the Wind line, "Frankly my dear..." is a Black line.
