Find out how to measure the cuts in your tile for a perfect SnapStone finish.
Cut tile with a wet saw, a tile breaker or an angle grinder. Before you cut, mark the tile for the cuts. Measure from the wall to the tile, then remove a ¼ inch for your grout joint and a ¼ inch for the expansion gap that you need to leave around the perimeter of the room. When you mark your tile, remove ½ inch from that measurement.
Another method is to place the tile in the spot you want it, press it up against the wall, allow for your grout joint, mark for your tile and you will have the same mark as with the other method.
To cut around special areas like vents, put the tile into place to mark your cuts. Remove the tile and mark the spot for your second cut. Use a square to mark the entire cut. A tile breaker will not work for this cut. Use an angle grinder or wet saw instead to cut your tile.
