There are various reasons why you may want to run the official Ubisoft Connect client on your Deck. The primary one is that you have purchased games through the Ubisoft client and don't want to have to repurchase them through the Steam store.

Additionally, if you subscribe to the Ubisoft Plus game subscription service, the only way you can access these games is by installing the official client.

Getting this client up and running on your Steam Deck does require a few steps but the overall process is fairly straightforward. The Ubisoft Connect client will even play nicely with the Steam Deck's controls, allowing you to navigate its menus using the buttons on your Deck and not having to rely on the virtual mouse.
