THE SOCIETY OF THE KOFUN PERIOD OF 1,500 YEARS AGO WHICH APPEARED FROM THE BOTTOM OF ERUPTION FROM THE MT.HARUNA
this is the model that presumed and restored the society of the Kofun period of the 5th century in the southeastern foot of the Mt.Haruna where our museum is located.Covering this region with eruption from the Mt. Haruna erupted early in the 6th century kept at that time the mansions of the King and burial mounds,paddy fields, settlements, village and graves by people came from the Korean peninsula to ancient japan, and so forth good condition. This is rare in japan. In this exhibition room,as the base point of this model, we will probe archaeologically the society of the 5th century in the foot of the Mt.Haruna.
It is called the period from the latter half of the 3rd through the 7th century in Japan as the Kofun period. The most distinctive feature in this period is that the gigantic graves "Zenpo-koenfun (keyhole-shaped mounded tomb)" were built in all over the country, as the center of Yamato (Nara Prefecture, Osaka prefecture.
