According to Kenny Ackerman all humans need a dream to chase after or else there’d be no reason to keep on living and for Erwin his goal was to avenge his fathers death by uncovering the truth about the world outside the walls. let’s just say Levi no longer hesitates at the crucial moment and turns the commander into a pure titan like he intended. Following that Erwin would wake up on top of wall Maria many hours later having eaten Bertolt and the first thing he’d notice is the brand new right arm that would’ve grown while he was asleep. This arm was bitten of by a random titan in season 2 but with it returning Erwin would immediately realise that he’s become a titan shifter. As with most people who inherit these abilities the commander would have no memory of the events surrounding it, so for all he knows he could be the new beast titan, armoured titan or even the new cart titan; he’d just genuinely have no idea. Levi would be the one to fill him in on everything that happened and once that’s explained they’d set out to find the Yaeger family basement, with mikasa and eren leading the way. While Eren would be severely depressed about Armin’s death Mikasa in the past has shown composure when it comes to processing these kinds of things, so I feel like she’d be able to calm him down and refocus on him on the task at hand. Obviously you could argue she wasn’t that composed a few Horus earlier but with Armin now being actually dead, Mikasa would accept there’s nothing they can do to bring him back. After searching the basement long enough they’d eventually find the 3 hidden notebooks left behind by grisha Yeager and this discovery would be the culmination of Erwin’s dream. As he said he had to be when they learn the truth about the world and now having learnt that truth he realises their enemy is huge nation that wants to steal the founding titan. Because Marley failed in their mission Erwin would know they will return to try and capture eren at some point, so strengthening the islands defence becomes his next top priority.

Previously Hanji had said the commander was already the symbol of hope for humanity, so with these new developments such as him having the colossal titan, I’m sure most ordinary people would think of him as the closest thing they have to a God. Over the next few days Nile Dok would apologise to Erwin for never taking his theory seriously when they were younger, while separately Eren and Mikasa would still be made to serve a short jail sentence for trying to give Armin the injection. The time would then come for the leaders of Paradis to decide what they should do with Grisha’s notebooks and of course this is a perfect opportunity for Erwin to give one of his classic speeches, something about how the truth needs to be made public or else all those deaths would be for nothi
