That's actually kinda funny, because there actually isn't one standard definition that fits everyone. But that won't stop us!

An MSP is a third-party company that a business can collaborate with to help manage part or all of the IT for a business, both locally (aka "on prem") or in the cloud.

Keep in mind that not all MSPs are created equal. When talking to potential MSPs, make sure to discuss their approach to providing their services. This is especially true when their service offerings appear to be either extremely expensive or cheap.

Make sure to select the right team from both a cultural and technical perspective, and you'll be ripe for a beautiful partnership.
