There are many Homestays in Maneybhanjan so if you are visiting off season, pre booking is not necessary at all.

For our trip, from Maneybhanjan we went to Sandakphu for 1 night, Tumling 1 night and back to Maneybhanjan, costed us 8500.
(Max 6 people allowed in a car).
Maneybhanjan to Darjeeling - 1500

There are very limited stays in Sandakphu , we stayed in Sunrise Hotel Sandakphu which is best there.
Room for 5 cost - 5000.

There are quite a few decent homestays in Tumling namely Sikhar Lodge, Sidhhartha Lodge, Mountain view homestay, Green Hill Paradise,
We stayed in Siddhartha lodge,
Rate is 1300-1600 per person per day including 3 meals and stay.

Apart from this, every thing is 2x priced (example 10rs chips costs 20rs after Maneybhanjan).

Sandakphu being at a high altitude make sure to pack good winter clothes, caps and gloves.
