Thanks to global warming, it was in the mid 70's on the first weekend of December and I wasn't going to let it go to waste. I set out on a two night, 17 mile hike on the Big Piney Trail in the Paddy Creek Wilderness of the Mark Twain National Forest in southern Missouri. This trail is pretty gnarly, has a lot of big ups and big downs, and it's totally awesome. It's a difficult trail to navigate, so hopefully this video will help anyone who's looking to get out there and do some sweet backpacking on the Big Piney!
