Toronto police say five masked suspects left empty-handed when they backed a stolen truck into a jewelry store on Wednesday night. The suspects couldn't get into the store with the truck in the way, according to authorities.
Surveillance video captured the truck smashing into the jewelry store in the attempted robbery.
The suspects fled the plaza in the area of Eglinton Avenue and Brimley Road in another car, and police say the store owner had minor injuries.
As Catherine McDonald reports, the store owner was the victim of an armed robbery seven years ago that has never been solved.
