Action Man Desert Warfare
Upon his inception in 1966 Action Man served in every theatre of war, from the Arctic to to the jungle - but the desert escaped him. That changed in 1973 with the introduction of the French Foreign Legion outfit in the "Soldiers of the World." range. In 1978 saw the: Desert Fighter figure and two vehicles; The German Motorcycle and Sidecar and The German Staff Car. 1979 saw a Dynamic Physique Desert Fighter along with a new German outfit: The Afrika Korps. The following year 1980 and the last of the desert themed outfits: Afrika Korps Lance Corporal and L.R.D.G (Long Range Desert Group) outfits.
