Ex 2 : Adding the drive
In the previous video, we created the project, imported the required library and activated the simulation.
Now the next step will be to add the drive in. Once the drive is added, a configuration wizard will pop up as shown in the video.
Now since we are only using the simulation, we will ignore the "motor encoder interface" options with the "skip" checkbox. We will also ignore the "motor connector" options with the "skip" checkbox.
In actual applications, you should have a list of all hardware that you bought, so you simply just need to select the right hardware this time instead of skipping.
Also take note that since the drive is connected to the PLC via the POWERLINK interface, we need to set a node number for the drive. This action is demonstrated in the video.
