Gov.-elect Abigail Spanberger will be sworn in Saturday as Virginia’s 75th governor, making history as the first woman elected to lead the commonwealth. In 1989, Doug Wilder was elected the nation’s first Black governor and sworn in as Virginia’s 66th governor.
