Examples of Scalars and Vectors (Quantites) in Maths and Sciences

This video will show you some examples of scalar and vector quantities in real life. A vector must have both magnitude (size) and direction, unlike, scalars that have only magnitude (size) but no direction.

Resolution of forces, or equilibrium of forces, or composition and resolution of forces, or resolving forces into components, or forces resolution, or resolution of concurrent forces is a process of keeping an object (building, machine, mechanical devices, etc) stable, to ensure that the object under consideration is not affected during the life usage or during project activities. This process involves splitting forces or dividing forces into two their horizontal and vertical components that will represent a single force for all the forces acting on the object. Resolution of forces helps us in analyzing motion separately in different directions.

This lecture was held for the Foundation Degree in Engineering students, University of Greenwich, United Kingdom.
