Welcome to episode three of Walks & Wildlife with David Winnard.
In this winter wildlife walk, I head to Llyn Cefni on Anglesey, North Wales, to see what the colder months have to offer. Despite the season, the woods and water are full of life.
Along the way I encounter a fantastic selection of winter fungi, including Jelly Ear and Scarlet Elf Cup. Out on the lake, there are plenty of ducks to enjoy too — including one rather unusual individual.
I also visit The Dingle, a special place known for its Red Squirrels. They don’t disappoint, giving wonderfully close views and providing a perfect end to a calm and rewarding winter walk.
If you enjoy slow wildlife watching, seasonal nature, and exploring North Wales on foot, this episode is for you.
Thanks for watching — and as always, let me know what you spotted on your own winter walks.
Dave.
