Dearborn is a southwestern suburb of Detroit with a population of about 110,000, making it the seventh most populous city in Michigan. In 2023, it became the first Arab majority city in the U.S. with 55% of its residents claiming to be of Middle Eastern or North African ancestry. The main countries its immigrants hail from are Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen. It also has sizable populations of German, Polish, Irish, and Italian citizens.
In Detroit we drive through various neighborhoods on the west side of the city with a particular focus on the neighborhood of Belmont.
We also pass through the neighborhoods of Joy-Schaefer, We Care Community, Hubbell-Lyndon, Bethune Community, and Fitzgerald/Marygrove, among others.
