In this rare and intimate conversation, recorded on October 2, 2017, I sat down with the legendary composer Lalo Schifrin at his home in Los Angeles. Best known for creating the iconic Mission: Impossible theme, Lalo's groundbreaking work spanned film, television, jazz, and classical music.
Born in 1932 and passing in 2025, Schifrin leaves behind a towering legacy, including scores for Dirty Harry, Enter the Dragon, Cool Hand Luke, and Bullitt. A multiple Grammy winner and Academy Award nominee, he changed the sound of cinema forever.
It was a true honor to spend time with a master whose music moved generations. May his genius continue to inspire.
