How to Draw a Circle of Squares | Geometric Design in Fineliner

In this video I construct a spiralling circle of 12 square shapes using compass, ruler, pencil and fine liner pen.

SUPPLIES

Compass:

My compass is from the Helix precision technical drawing set. It's useful because the set comes with one small and one large compass, an extender bar for drawing large circles, and options for holding leads or pen/pencils. It may not be the most accurate as there is some wiggle in the compass even when locked in place but it's a good starter set for geometric art.

Pens:

I like uni-pin waterproof fine line drawing pens. I use every size from 0.03 to 0.8 so I buy them in sets of multiple sizes whenever I see an offer on them!
