The best of British Theatre is available to stream for schools, universities, and the wider education sector. Free for all UK state schools (primary and secondary) and FE colleges.

The National Theatre Collection is growing! From 16 September, seven brand-new titles join the line-up, bringing the total to over 80 productions.

This latest release ranges from 19th-century British classics like Oscar Wilde‘s The Importance of Being Earnest to fresh literary adaptations such as The Boy with Two Hearts and Noel Streatfeild‘s Ballet Shoes. It also introduces our first piece of physical theatre, Kin, highlights underrepresented voices with the Lit in Colour title, Blues for an Alabama Sky, and features the powerful Nye, starring Michael Sheen.

Continuing our collaboration with the Unicorn Theatre, we’re also expanding the offer for younger learners with Malorie Blackman’s Pig Heart Boy, adapted for the stage by Winsome Pinnock.

Alongside these productions, teachers and students can access a wealth of new learning resources – short films, detailed synopses, cross-curricular guides, and career insights – designed to enrich classroom learning and spark deeper engagement with the plays.
